This project emerged from noticing how distance from home had thinned my use of Assamese, my mother tongue, and how some words were drifting to the edges of my memory. Through the slow act of noting, translating, and coiling yarn into the forms of these words, I try to retrace their usage, recalling not just the language I learnt first, but the rhythm of remembering itself.
